Mad About Cartoons

Bill Wray is trying to make the transition fine art but is known as a cartoonist, a background painter/ Art director and sometimes animation director. This will be the place he post his ocasional animation and cartooning work and also be a place to bitch or wax sentimentally about cartoons in general. It’s been a love and hate relationship for many years and the long journey may not be quite over.

final (with a layout re- draw by the legendary Cary Yoest who is doing amazing work on the show) the rest are all me.

Here is a special preview for you all of the title cards being done for the up coming Mighty Bee episodes. I've included some roughs to give you an idea how the choices are made. Obviously there are a few that I submitted that I knew were to raunchy for a kids show, but hope springs eternal and it's nice to have a laugh with my semi- indulgent boss Erik Wiese.

These are great, Bill. The mood in that bottom one especially. I'm also really digging the one with the spelling error. I notice digital techniques creeping into these more and more... I know why, but the purist in me wishes it wasn't so!

Thanks for sharing these gems!

These are fun! Do you know when new episodes will be airing? It's such a funny show!

And what program do you do the digital paintings in? Love the textures.

Your work is really inspiring.
